There is more emphasis in Steiner schools on educating the student as a whole human being in all aspects than I’ve seen in other educational systems. (Boland 2012 (video)). I guess the whole human body was very important to Steiner education. Steiner education can also link to Pasefika because early childhood centre in terms of art children tent to draw and paint to show their feeling about something that they experience from home or media (television and etc.). The whole development of a child is very important and spirituality as in Steiner education is very important. So this can also link to the pedagogies of Pasefika which is call Tofaliuliu where it talks about the souls of a child.
"Spirituality is an integrating construct that works with our cognitive, emotional and social sides (integrating heart, mind and soul) to provide meaning and purpose” (Vialle, Lysaght, & Verenikina.).
“Ako
is a Tongan word for to learn and to study and in Samoan its Aoo, to learn and
there’s a lot of tiny words that come out of that word Aoo. It is to learn and
a lot of that learning is done by observing which quite a common pedagogy is. A lot of children learn by observing and they
imitate what’s going on” (Tagoilelagi-Leota 2012 (Video)). Steiner and Pasefika
education do related in aspect of spiritual context.
